Hello guys, I hope your week had been fine. Mine, as anticipated, has been pretty hectic among new workshops that required a shitload of work in and especially out of class, Valentine's dinners, the usual uni life, hunting for Gen.2 Pokémon in Pokémon Go, dumplings dinner with friends, cleaning and more...! It's been a super full week, but somehow I manage to (more or less) reconcile all my activities and efforts requests! Now I am expecting a Sunday afternoon in front of the computer, reading and writing and coding (what a change...!), but first of all I wanted to share this with you, as I'm feeling in a really Arcade Firey mood today! Long and exhausting day today, been around since 8 am and got back home 12 hours later after attending an exam where I didn't understand half of the questions (but they're not gonna fail us, they say...!) Why should we management people be concerned with tough maths in the first place, is not clear to me, nor is the whole point of doing this exam in this way, but whatever, let's just hope that it's in the past. Of course because we have a sh*tload of other stuff to take care about! I'm trying to carve some me-time off the schedule (like weekends and hopefully nights) and, for the time being, I am miserably failing. What the hell did I sign up for?!

Hello people, here is your favourite music blogger (probably not, but whatever...)! I had been meaning to post this for a few days now, wanted to do it last night but then of course I got lost in doing things and it was past 2 AM already and it made sense to go to bed (stupid mistake, actually, as I laid there for like 2 hours without being able to fall asleep...), but here I am now! I've recently started digging into Sia's (musical) past, and I'm already being rewarded with a few precious tunes, one of them being this. It's also one of my favourite songs at the moment, so I guess I really need to share it with you now before she starts releasing new stuff again!!

Yesterday I thought I would be posting something by Arcade Fire for this sundayrevival, but don't ask me why, as I really can't remember...! Whatever, I thought I would and I will. Staying on topic with yesterday's events (the first Gay Pride in my home town, followed by today's news that we are going to have a left-wing mayor for the first time since... ever), I remember I thought about Regine dancing with ribbons in the video of this song (maybe that's why I thought about Arcade Fire) and that is a thing I always feel like doing too while listening to this song. Not being able to move graciously (at all), I'd better refrain from that, but who knows whether sooner or later I will give way to my ideas...?

After going to bed very late, waking up and going to my grandparents' for lunch, I am now spending this rainy and cold Sunday known as Valentine's day at home, my mother reading on the couch and me just not knowing what to do, some good (Junip) music playing in the background, wondering whether to go to bed and sleep some, study some Japanese, watch some anime or else. In my mind I need to get something cheerful, a bit naughty and funny to get through the day, and given that I needed to find a good song for this post, I went back to my dear Scissters, who I've been listening to a bit this past week. This song in particular always makes me smile, so it might just be what I need today. Maybe it can help you cheer up too, should you be in need!

I'm closing in with Junip's debut album 'Fields' (for now) with this other pearl of a song. I really need some happiness and positive vibes today, as the day is as gloomy as can be: cold, rainy, hazy, monday, "depressy" and so on and so forth. I'm finally starting to feel the lack of purpose in my life after more than one month of "idleness" (idleness filled with winter holidays, travel, hanging out and other pleasant experiences). It's one of these limbo times and I wanna enjoy it, as I have the opportunity of doing things that I wouldn't be able to do while working or being else-how employed. My goodness, life is hard indeed, even when you have to decide how to enjoy it!

The year has almost come to an end and I wanna take a further chance to post music by what has been my favourite new discovery of 2015, i.e. Junip. After finally watching the Walter Mitty movie after people had been suggesting I should watch it for quite a while, I have been enchanted by their debut album 'Fields', both the album itself and the CD2, which practically consists of a couple of their previous EPs. I cannot recommend them enough, I can't wait to listen to their newer album released in 2013 and then finally start to approach Jose Gonzales's solo music. This last Junip post of 2015 is 'Without you', a beautiful, beautiful song off the CD1 of 'Fields'; I chose for you an astounding performance live on KEXP, so that I take another chance to thank the guys who work there and give us the opportunity to enjoy such great performances of live music! Go on and listen to it now, before it's too late!!!

After a long and all-in-all satisfying full-day tour of Lanzarote, I got back to the hotel, had dinner and came back to my room. Driving up and down the hills and mountains of the island from south to north and back has been a bit tiring but it was called for. Some of the places I've seen were quite worth it, some others not so much and most of them anywhere lay in between the awesome and the "meeeh", so good to see but not unforgettable. The highlights are anyway always linked to the sea, and the tides are one part of it that struggled me quite a lot: the beach near my hotel at night gets some 20-30 meters longer, maybe more! It's impressive how the ocean retreats and advances, I'm not used to it as the Mediterranean is a closed sea and the tide events are not so significant! Probably Junip are more used to open waters than me!

I know yesterday I (almost) promised you would get something special today and this week, but I had a pressing urgency to share this song, which has just made my day, so I will keep my special idea for next week, when I'll be home and more able to write down great posts for you (hopefully).
I'm sorry, but the beauty of this song astounded me tonite... I can't stop listening to it, I got it on my mind two songs before it would play on my current playlist and when it finally started, I felt the need to dance at it with somebody, to the point that I took the Olaf (Frozen's snowman) plush that is travelling with me this last time and started dancing with him. This right after I bought two small packs of frozen vegetables "perfect for one person"! I guess that's it, I am embracing my life alone. It has hardly ever felt so good. As in the Walter Mitty movie, which is the one that got me close to Junip's music and which is featuring this song in one of the last scenes, a beautiful one where it's all about enjoying the moment...

For today's sundayrevival I went back to see what I was listening 5 years ago, i.e. what songs were on my November 2010 playlist. I see some PJ Harvey, Tori Amos, Bjork, OneRepublic, Skunk Anansie... I already had a pretty nice taste in music! But what I decided to pick is KT Tunstall: her 2010 album 'Tiger suit' is my favourite of hers, probably one of the most underestimated (not that she got massive radio playing since her first couple of albums, at least in Italy). It's a pity, because it's full of gems, and this is one of them. The weird name in song title is the name of a small town (I believe) in Greenland that KT visited during an inspirational trip. Amazing music anyway.

Hello my followers, here I am somehow back on my feet! Have been sick in the last couple of days, been off work and came back home, as I took a few days off starting tomorrow...! I hate this time of year and I hate feeling bad and sick as I did yesterday, today I'm a bit better thanks goodness, even if I still got a bad cough, maybe a little temperature and all the ending symptoms of the flu (hopefully). I gotta be back on my feet by Monday, as I have an important even to attend, but I will let you know more about that soon! For now let's enjoy some great music, once again by one of my best discoveries of the awesome year in music this 2015 has been!!

Shame on me for not posting any Junip song for such a long time! I recently started listening to another one of their albums (well, more precisely the second part of their debut album, actually the first part as previously I listened to the bonus tracks contained in the second CD)! All of this, just to say sorry for keeping them far from the blog for so long! I am loving the CD1 of 'Fields' already after a few listens too, so I'm very happy I approached their music! This is another song out of my (not so) current playlist (anymore), probably one of the last I'm gonna share, as I already have a new playlist ready! Expect more great music to come: I have to celebrate the 7.000 +1s reached (a while ago) by the blog on Google+, plus tomorrow I'm going to celebrate the 700th post of the blog with a special entry! Last day of this 5th Thai trip for me, in a few hours we will finish our last session and head to the airport. I really can't wait to sleep sleep sleep, even if I have a few things to do. I am not so eager to get back because the weather at home is quite cold already, but I need my home, my bed, my time zone and a little relax..! Hello my dear readers, I know I haven't been posting very regularly lately, I'm sorry about that but my life has been quite hectic here in Bangkok, especially during this last visit: lots of things to do, places to visit, people to meet, and then work work work that makes me wake up crazily early in the morning and get back to the hotel not-so-early... the time is very little and I have been sacrificing my daily tasks, blog and Japanese studies above all, in favour of things I could only do here. I think that, even if this makes me somehow sad, it is the best choice given that I think this is going to be my last visit, at least for a while... so I wanna grab this chance to say thank you to Thailand for the beautiful moments I've spent here until now, hoping to spend many more!!

This is not at all a song I would expect to find in a sundayrevival post on my blog, but here it is and here I am, and it actually makes sense for these crazy last few days I have flown/stumbled/walked through! The meaning behind this post is that lately (and in these past couple of days in particular) I've been reaaally feeling like a teenager, like being 15 again, or, better, like being 15 for the first time...! Spending all the time chatting on the phone to the point that my parents were fooling me for that, doing stupid and crazy thing, gliding over the ground one moment and falling head over heels the next one... well, I think that sooner or later there comes a time of our lives when we have to feel that way! Now it's my time, so this is for all the people around me who are making me feel like I'm living a teenage dream, be it a bittersweet one (as all teenage dreams in the end)!!

My car, which I am very very fond of and who's been in my family for more than 15 years now (yes, I am conscious I am personifying it, it's my little one!) has been having some "health issues" lately (I feel like we are connected by a file rouge, we are feeling sick together) and, even if I brought her to see a "car doctor" during my first trip to Thailand, her problem has not been solved, rather it has worsened since the visit, so I am having her checked again. So I went to catch my father's car at the station today and while I was connecting my ipod into its on-board computer, the radio started playing this song and given that I was about to listen to some summer songs on my playlists from last years, this one seemed pretty fit for the case! I just let it go, then started the ipod and now I added it to my 'Eté' ('Summer' in French) playlist! Do you think it's a good summer song? I think it is!

It's official now... I finished watching Game of Thrones season 5, I have to disagree with people who have been unsatisfied with this season, I must confess I liked less the previous one, as this year interesting pairings have been made and interesting developments have taken place. It's also been nice, after being in Dubrovnik last summer, to recognize some of the places where they shot the scenes! Ok, I understand all the people (see girls) whose hearts are torn apart because of the end of the last episode, but well... weren't we expecting it all the way? Yeah, ok, there was that little hope in (y)our hearts that things might go right, but if you like things that go right... choose another TV series to watch! Or listen to some great music, like this awesome tune by Junip.

Last night I finally got to watch the 'Walter Mitty' movie by Ben Stiller, after many people have been suggesting I should give it a try. I have not been disappointed, as I really could identify with the main character and the story, even if maybe (hopefully) my life is not as extremely gray as his. I have been a little bit dazed by the non-sense of the whole story (SPOILER: why did the photograph guy leave clues for him if the picture has been in his wallet the whole time?! I can't really make that out...) and, well, by the fact that it gets a little bit predictable, the not-so-unique feel-good American style movie. Nonetheless it's quite enjoyable and it really conveys the powerful message that you should do something meaningful in your (real) life. Plus, the soundtrack is really great: Arcade Fire, Of Monsters & Men, and then Josè Gonzales, who I've been suggested a couple weeks ago, and its band Junip, both of which I've been greatly enjoying. This song in particular and the scene it is featured in have made me fall in love, so kudos to Stiller for the movie and to Junip for the music!! Tomorrow it's gonna be my own turn to go far far away, so I guess you're finally gonna get that update about my life! In the meanwhile enjoy your saturday night!

I'm back. Oh god, if I'm back!! I'm so back it almost hurts. Of happiness. Milan, Milan, how I missed you!!! I'm just picking one song out of an album that reminds me of one of the best nights in Milan (i.e. OneRepublic's first concert in 2010) and, in turn, of the splendid 5 years I spent here. Oh god, IT FEELS SO GOOD TO BE BACK! (Even if just for a while!)

An ordinary life - Amy MacDonald

You guys thought I didn't post yesterday because I was planning something special for today? I hope not, that would be too high an opinion of me...! As usual, I simply forgot to post and, as often as it happens, I always find it funny that I forget to post in the days that I spend at home, when I'm not doing anything special (and when I would have plenty of time to prepare a good post)!! Well... that's how the human brain works, or at least how mine works... nothing to be proud about! Anyway, it's (actually it was) sunday and so it's time for some song I've been in love with for a long time. I chose Amy MacDonald for this week's revival because I've been (randomly... rather, chronologically) listening to her in the car this past week and well... this song is particularly meaningful for me now. I'm starting to work, like working for real, with a wage and stuff. That's gonna happen on tuesday, so I'm already preparing my luggage and stuff to move back to Veneto. I hope this transition won't last too long, but it's too soon already to update you about what's waiting for me next! In the meanwhile I'll just leave you with these wise words by Amy!
