It's been a while since I last listened to Elli de Mon, an Italian blues/rock singer-songwriter I got to know last summer as she opened a concert I've been to. I really liked her music and bought her debut album online, an album I have greatly enjoyed! I don't know why (the incipit of) this song has come back to my mind 5 minutes ago, but it did! And I forgot how I love this funky blues beat, it really takes me back to my beautiful field research adventure in US Mid-west a few years ago... great, great times! Here we are again! The heat wave is still striving to reach us while my headache keeps bothering me from time to time. It's been a good last few days, would've been great if it wasn't for these two factors that still are not going as they should. But the world is not perfect, is it? We just have to enjoy what we have day by day. The Ting Tings say that too!

Hello my dear crowd, I hope that your week started well! Mine (kind of) did, especially thanks to what I am posting now, which has been a very good tool to fight the sleepiness caused by the coming of spring! I have loads of songs that have been champing at the bit to be posted here, but they will have to wait for a while longer, as this post is due! Together with my (awesome) teammates and colleagues at my company we have been working on this project in the past few weeks and finally it is ready to share with the world! We have done our best lip syncing to Pharrell's hit Happy, doing our best to look happy be happy and, most importantly, make other people as much happy as we were while shooting! On Sunday I started playing around with the harmonica on Under the Bridge and since then I've started listening to RHCP a little bit in the last couple of days. Overlooking the at-best-moderate success of my attempts, today I will probably start training on this other song, that quietly stuck in my head (and went on to substitute another song I wanted to post today). I've always liked Desecration Smile, I really have no memory of how I got to know it and everything, but it's always been one of my favs and one of the few Red Hot songs I really do like. I never devoted too much attention to them, not being a funky fun, but I really do like some of their songs, especially the stuff that came closer to pop after they got famous. Today I'll go for it, and who knows? Maybe one day I will also be able to play it at least decently on the harmonica! Never say never!

Awesome music today at the office, I got loads of inspiration for posts! I really enjoyed work today, the music was good (so good that I didn't even put my own earplugs on), the tasks were diverse and the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable, you gotta love fridays! Today's song is one of the few we got more than one time (there must've been some kind of weird repeat mode on), but this is one of the great songs that you don't mind listening more than one time a day!
