Today didn't start in the best way possible: the water plastic bottle I had in my consultant rucksack was faulty and poured a good amount of its content around. Result: flooded bag, including all the stuff that was inside (from pc to charger, from food to CDs and wires). I don't know how, but it seems like everything is working fine! Plus, I later realized I (of course) also flooded my shirt, pants and underpants with the water that was coming out from the rucksack. All of this in the small 2 minutes walk form the car to the office. Nice, ain't it? Thanks goodness I could hang all my stuff around to dry as the best housewives would, and I brought my rucksack back in the car to dry up (which worked perfectly, just to let you know how hot it is around here these days)! Anyway it looks like stuff about my future is moving up (again), now we'll have to see how long it takes for stuff to happen...! Anyway for now I'm not westbound as Lana in her song, yet I'm going to go so far away that east and west are kinda blurred, plus it isn't out the question that I'm just taking the long way west!

I meant to post this song a few days ago, but I couldn't find it on YouTube, so I decided to revert to Soundcloud, because I like it so much that I can't do without posting it and sharing it with you all! My time in Thailand is going on quite well, I'm enjoying it quite a lot and I can't wait to get the chance to stay here for a bit longer! In the meanwhile let's just enjoy May Jailer/Lana del Rey/Lizzy Grant! Click on the image title to listen to the song on Soundcloud!
Back to work after almost a week, not easy but it could've been worse! Thanks goodness this is gonna be a short week, and then I'm gonna leave for a two-weeks visit to the firm where the project I'm working on will be implemented! Guess I will have to tell you something about my future soon, even though I don't know much about it myself! What I know is that in a couple of days I'm gonna be homeless again and I have no idea where I will be staying after I come back from those two weeks. Yay... Anyway, I'll leave you with Lana, hoping you can have a great evening and, hopefully, a more certain future than I do!
Sooo, I guessed you kind of got to know that already, but in case you didn't... the blog is now on Spotify too!! I have created and will update a monthly playlist with all the songs posted on the blog each month, plus some other specials playlists, like (my) 90s best hits, (my) 00s best hits and more more more!! You can find all of this music paradise here or by just searching 'A song or two per day' in Spotify! I really really hope this can be a handy way for you to get a chance to listen to all the great songs featured here in one place, and, why not?, to explore and find new music you didn't know about before! Unfortunately the song I chose for today is not present on Spotify (what a timing, what a choice!), but it's here and that's what matters. Another great tune out of Lana's debut album under the pseudonym Lizzy Grant, and don't tell me I didn't go out with a bang tonite!!!
For the series 'Before they were famous', tonight we feature (again) miss Lizzy Grant a.k.a. Lana del Rey with her 2005 debut album 'Sirens'. The songs are practically all voice + guitar in a style that reminds a little bit the early Joni Mitchell and, well, the usual American country/folk/pop/rock female singer. I'm not saying that her current style is on the complete opposite of the music spectrum, but it's not next to this one either. All in all evolution is key, especially when you still haven't found success. I dare say that her vocals used to be better then (like in this song) than they are now, but well, she is composing great music today, more produced than her first songs for sure, that's her recipe for success and it works well, but it's always nice to go back and see how it all started. The songs are anyway greatly enjoyable, so it's quite a pleasant trip!!
The same question that so often comes to me at night has reached my mind tonite too: what (the hell) should I post today?!?! There's so much great music around, so much great music I'm listening to, but I'm so tired when I get through the day that I lack the energies and time to think clearly about what I wanna share with you! Well, taking inspiration from my latest playlist, I'm sharing with you a song whose title actually makes sense with my whole blabbering here-above. I'm gonna try tonight to make a meaningful contribution with the help of then-Lizzy Grant (now-Lana del Rey), hope it'll be a successful one! G'nite!
