You got the love (live remix) - The XX feat. Florence Welch

You got the love (remix live) - The XX feat. Florence Welch
The first encounter I've had with The XX was in 2010 or 2011 when I approached their remix of one of my favourite songs ever, i.e. 'You got the love' by Florence + the Machine, and I was disgusted by that. That kept me far from them for a couple more years, when in 2013 I finally got close to them thanks to some friends' suggestions, and of course I could only regret letting so much time pass by without their music! Still, that 'You got the love' never met my taste, and I couldn't but be amazed about how two of my favourite bands could get together and create something that I found so hateful. The same feeling transferred through to my viewing of their live remix during the recent Night + Day event The XX organised in Brixton. Still, for how much the song didn't please me, their collaboration on the stage was magic, especially how Florence could remix her voice live even better than a DJ could do in a studio...! And that drew me to listen to the song again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And, well... I guess you understood by now what happened afterwards!

"You know it's real! I know, I know, You know it's real! Eh eh eh eh eh eh"

Wedding day - Tori Amos

Wedding day - Tori Amos
I apologise with you guys if I'm being redundant, but Tori's concert in Milan is approaching and I don't have anything better to post than that at the time being. This is what I've been listening to and this is what it makes sense for me to post now. I'm listening to Tori a lot and her latest album is speaking to me, and I like that! I put ideally this song in a threesome with the ones right before and right after, but there's time for just one at a time, so here it is!
I'll also get the chance to celebrate a victory for Tori in my personal music listening: last night I've been computing how much time I've been spending listening to music just on my own devices and, well... Tori is the single artist I've been listening to the most. Almost 900 hours! It's quite a lot, impressive! This is to hundreds more hours!

Boulevard of broken dreams - Green Day

British countryside
I have just got home after a long, long super fatiguing and very beautiful walk/trip! It started as kind of an adventure, with me taking a bus south-bound without knowing exactly how to understand when to get off, but thanks to a lady who was "taking care of me" and to the driver, I got it right. And right after the bus, one whole hour of walk through fields and fields to get to the next town exactly with bus that came one hour after the one I took. And then reaching the castle of the town, to find out it is closed until the 1st of April. But then I took a walk around the castle park and it was amazing, with sheep, deers and a beautiful landscape. Finally, undecided whether to walk it back or to take the bus (that actually went down all the way I walked), I made up my mind for the bus (my feet started hurting) and got back to the road just in the exact moment when the bus back was coming by. What could be more awesome than that? I really enjoyed my saturday afternoon trip and while walking alone in the countryside I could only think of Green Day going on like "I walk alone, I walk alone, my shadow's the only one that walks beside me, my shallow heart's the only thing that's beating, sometimes I wish someone out there will find me. Till then I walk alone" and so it is, I also got the post for today!
