Dealing with people is often everything but easy, and especially when you have to deal with people that play or might play an important role in your life, stuff can get hard. I'm not really a tongue-holding kind of guy, I believe that communication is key and I usually share my (confused) thoughts with the people around me, I tend to tell them when there is a problem or when there's something that makes me feel bad. Sometimes I don't say things (straight-forwardly), because there's also that part of me that likes a quiet life (and the part of me that tries to get revenge quietly, especially by indifference), but this is more the exception than the rule, and in the end stuff ends up coming out at one point. Lately I've been having a lot of time to think about one relationship in particular and the thoughts I've been making are not that good, so maybe this time I really need somebody to hold my tongue before breaking things more than they need!!
Today I did something I've been wanting to do for years, and that is booking the flight tickets for my first trip to Japan! Trying not to jinx it and keeping my fingers crossed, if everything's going and I'm actually gonna go, it really sounds like 2016 is the year when I'm doing a lot of things I've been waiting to do for years, the time of my life when I finally get some important things done! Goodness knows if it's also gonna be the year I figure out what I wanna do with my life...! I'm overly excited about Japan now, even if it's still gonna take a while before I get there, and even if some of my other adventures are not going so great, I'm still keeping a positive attitude! Can't wait to be flying away!
Don't ask me why, but I found this song (that I absolutely love) in my head this morning, and thus I went to listen to Sheppard's album, which I hadn't approached for quite a while! The song actually is a great fit for today, as I am enjoying some winter time in a nice, nice place, i.e. Lanzarote (one of the Canary Islands)!! I needed to reward myself with some warmth after this long and hard year and given how cold it is back at home. I got here last night and today I spent the whole day at the playa, a nice one 2 minutes away from the hotel: total relax! The sea water is somewhat cold, but on the beach I felt great, with a warm sun and a pleasant breeze, I couldn't ask for more! I wish you all an enjoyable time as the one I'm having here!
Last night I went to bed quite late, as I finished watching the 11th (and last) season of 'Shameless' (UK Version), and when I came on the blog at past 2 AM I searched for a couple of songs that had made my day and realised I had already posted them, I decided to call it a day and to come back today. And here I am! I have absolutely no idea why I woke up with this song on my mind this morning, and I actually thought I already posted this one too, but I haven't and so I'm doing it now! I wish you all a great day and a great end of summer (here unfortunately I fear the best weather is over...)!
It's been a tough choice... one step back first though. Once again I'm referring back to yesterday's post, and this is the other song I wanted to post. Better, the band I wanted to post. As I have been reaaally struggling to pick one (more) song of them to post! First of all I have to say that this is really positive, as after Geronimo I was scared that they were a 1-hit band, while they're not. Their album is quite good, very enjoyable and the other songs are strong too. That's why I've been having difficulties in choosing which one to post today! I'm not saying I won't post the other girls who were competing for today's spot, but well... you never know! This electric feeling that I got listening to this one took over me anyway and here it is! Wow, I really got confused with timing and everything, not surprising as I always post around midnight so I never get to really really post a song every day... anyway, this whole mess because there is an important moment that I really want to celebrate well, and that's the birthday of this blog! Yes, I started on October 20th last year, it seems incredible but I have been posting for almost a year now! I have never been able to keep a daily schedule for anything like that before, so I am really proud and happy, as it means I am doing something I really like and care about; plus I've had the chance to interact with so many great people during this posting time, you are growing bigger and bigger and I couldn't ask for a better audience! I really hope there will be many moments like this but first we still have to celebrate the first one, so let's not run too fast!

What I have been wanting to post for a few days though is this brand new song, out of Sheppard's debut album (you will for sure know Geronimo...!), which I am liking quite a lot! It makes sense to get close to such an important date and to sing "it's a long way back when you're halfway to hell", as this blog really helped me walk an important part of this way back! Hello everybody! Yesterday has been a crazy day, waking up long before dawn to get to the airport, a mess like I've never seen before at 5 AM at the check-in gates, a crazy journey, waiting times, the car... we finally got here and started touring relatives of my friend, eating here and there, it feels like I'm exploding and... wow, so intense! I didn't even have time to sit down a while! Last night there was also a big holiday for Saint Anthony, the patron of the city, crazy crazy!! I really feel like I'm immersed in the pure Sicilian life, and notwithstanding the looks full of mistrust and suspicion of the locals in the streets, I'm enjoying it to the fullest! I don't know ho often I'm gonna be able to update the blog, but I'll keep telling you my stories as soon as I can! For the time being I'll leave you with one of my latest successes, a summer song that came late here, like summer itself! Say, Geronimo, a line that perfectly fits how I'm feeling now!!
