Day 2 of my Macbook not working, last night I did a back-up of the disk and this morning I tried to restart it, without any success. Now I'm trying again and it's gonna be the last thing I do before bringing it to an assistance point tomorrow. Life without my main computer is tough and the day feels hard to fill. I already feel the lack of my iTunes, especially to choose songs for the blog, lack of my anime and series, of a smoothly-working internet and everything... I really hope I'll be able to get it work somehow, but I guess you don't care much about it! Off my current playlist (given that the new one I had just created is lost in my not-booting-anymore computer) is an old tune by Joni, my first favourite off the album of hers I'm currently listening to (Dog eat dog).

Lately I have been giving another try to Kate Bush by listening to her best of 'The whole story'. I have been knowing a couple of her most famous songs for a while now, and I also already had listened to the album a few times some time ago at the end of last year. I think her songs are really modern and they paved the way for the music of many other artists I love. This is one of her most famous songs I wasn't really familiar with before I started listening to her with more attention, and it has also never been one of my favourites; yet I found myself singing it in my mind and out loud in the last few days, for sure it's a great one to post and I told myself: why not? Why wait? Let's get down that road and then up that hill for no reason!

One of my Facebook friends posted a video I already saw a few years ago about 3 super-funny guys (Axis of awesome) showing how most successful pop-songs are built on the same 4 chords (watch the official video here). One of the songs they were playing is a 1986 song I just added to my August playlist. I immediately thought about posting it, then I changed my mind because there is another relevant music-related event that took place in my life today, but, given that I practically already wrote the post about A-ha, let's give them some room today and tomorrow (or maybe tonight if I have the time) I'll tell you more about what else is going on. I can give you an anticipation: it regards one of the people featured in my new blog heading!

A double post is on the way for you tonight! I don't know if I'm gonna be able to find the time to post both of the songs for real, so let's start with one and we'll see. It's friday, another working week is over (for most of us) and it's time to partyyy! (Be it in a club, at your friends' house or at home alone with your cat, chocolate and internet, as one Facebook page suggests!). Whatever kind of party you're getting ready for, there is one girl that always fits! Ok, I'm joking, she's not a girl anymore and she doesn't fit all the time, but well... quite often! You know her name, you know everything about her! You might not know this song (I have been delving back into Madonna's older catalogue only recently), but I assure you this one is perfect to start your weekend of partying! Enjoy (song + weekend)!

Today's inspiration came from under the shower: I was listening to the playlist of a CD I burned a a few Xmases ago for my friends (I know, November's just begun, but it's never too early for Xmas!). And suddenly, as soon as I started going da-da-bee-doo-be-da-boo-da aaaah aaah, I realised it was a good pick for my blog. I don't think I have to introduce you to one of the greatest rock voices of the late 20th century, Ms. Annie Lennox, nor to one of the Eurythmics' best-known successes, so enjoy your sunday night!
