Ok today I've been listening to Foster the People in my car and I thought I could check whether I had already posted one song of theirs I felt a link to, and yes, I already did, as I thought. But one moment later (now) I realised that I never posted one of my favourite FTP songs since I started listening to them! Let me check again as I can't believe it... it's true! I haven't posted it! So I'm gonna instantly put remedy to that! Or maybe not... there's one other song I haven't posted that is more pressing now, so I'll leave this as a draft for a short while!

And here I am again! Just some 24 hours later! And what good 24 hours! I spent almost half of them sleeping and a good part of the other half relaxing on a beautiful lake north of here, sunbathing and enjoying the (likely) last weekend of summer and then briefly visiting Belluno, the second-to-last province town in Veneto that I hadn't visited yet! What a good day!

I feel like I am in that weird transition moment between an era and the next, I have finished listening to all of these good and great albums in the summer and now I'm moving to the next lot... it's a smooth transition though and I think it wouldn't hurt to post a few latecomers from the former group... one of them is this Coming of age, first single out of FTP's Supermodel and (currently) last song I have started to really like out of it. As I mentioned already a few days ago, I am not completely satisfied with this album but I think I took out of it everything I could and this is really the last drop of juice I can drink for now!
Say goodbye to FTP for a while as I don't see myself posting other stuff of theirs anytime soon, just enjoy this to the fullest!

In my best (and rarely realistic) intentions this would've been the second post of yesterday, as it made sense yesterday and I also would have had the time to write it down last night... but I didn't. Anyway the reason for this post lies behind me watching Foster the People on the livestream of Lollapalooza festival two nights ago (ok, it was late afternoon in Chicago but it was past 3 at night at my place!) and, well... I loved the performance! I admit I didn't totally love their second and currently latest album and my relationship with it can be perfectly summed up with the one I have with this song: loved the chorus at once (the same happened with a couple of songs on the album), while the rest of the song (/album) didn't really say anything to me for the first 5-6 listens. Now I got kind of used to it and I find it ok (as I do with few more songs on the album), but just ok not great, plus there are some other parts of the song (and especially some other songs on the album) that still have not caught me at all. So, a false step after the explosive love I had for Torches, their debut album. What saved the whole thing was indeed the watching them live at Lollapalooza: their performance has been great and super energizing, I was dancing like an idiot in front on my pc with my earplugs on in the middle of the night! The song that gained the most live for me has been this one, with the result that I have been singing the chorus in my mind (and not only) the whole day yesterday!

Here I am, back from Dubrovnik! I'm not joking when I say I have 5 songs ready for posting, today I got a lot of inspiration, both new and slightly older stuff! This is one of the slightly older ones: I was listening to a June playlist on the plane back this morning and when this song started, I woke up by the kinda coma/sleep I was in and paid a little attention to the lyrics... well, they made a whole lot of sense to me and to a (past?) issue I had, so I think it makes sense to feature it here today.

Amsterdam time, part 2. Second day here, I'm actually writing this in front of my gate at the airport, and I have no idea how it's gonna be, so I'm just coming up with random but plausible stuff: the city is not bad but a bit grey, the atmosphere though is quite nice and the channels, besides the flies, give it a kind of character. The weather is gray too and rainy, but not that bad rain that lasts all day, just a few drops at a time... And here it is, I have to go so I'm gonna cut it here, I'll let you know how accurate my predictions will be!

More stuff from the big July playlist: I started approaching the second (and currently latest) album of Foster the People a little time ago, I just listened to it like twice, but a couple of songs already made a good enough impression on me to deserve the right to be in this playlist. This is one of them, the closing track of the album (bonus tracks apart) and a quite good closure in my opinion, touching in its quietness and it's fitting perfectly in the central area of the playlist, together with other songs of the same kind.

It's time for another Foster the People song in this super hot and humid day! The situation is getting out of control: today I had to spend the day in town due to a couple of dentist appointments and I have been sweating like a pig! Tonite (or tomorrow at the latest) we should get the usual tropical storm and in the weekend we should go from more than 30° to around 15° (in medio stat virtus and we never get the medio of course...!), so let's hope at least to get some cool and to be able to enjoy grandma's swimming pool too! About the dentists, my wisdom teeth are bothering me yet again, luckily enough not with pain (for now) but with the pain of taking them out: a new day-hospital with general anesthesia is waiting for me, hoorray!

New day, new song! Today I've been taking a trip to Bergamo with my parents, very pleasant, nice city (the old part on the top of the mountain especially), and now I'm back in Milan, ready for another calm and relaxing night and another trip tomorrow!
In contrast with the nothing-to-do that's been happening in my life in the last few days (nights actually), I choose another happy song for the summer, again from Foster the People's debut album (yes, I did take a liking for it). Hey hey hey! New week, new series of blog posts coming for you! Now that the weekend is over I can finally start posting songs from my new playlist that I really really really like! I'm only a bit sad of having built it now as it's not summer yet, but I'm sure it will put me into summer mood in the blink of an eye (and then hopefully real summer will come too)! This is the first extract of my playlist and it is also (not) coincidentally the first track on it! I've come to love Foster the People in a very very short time and, beyond Pumped up kicks, I'm already in love with 3/4 songs, the ones I put in my playlist. Hellooo! My time in England is coming closer and closer to the end and I start feeling a little bit sad for the things (and people... especially people) I'm gonna be leaving behind. This time of new beginnings is also characterized by a lot of new music coming to me all at once, overwhelming me once again! Not that I complain, rather... I'm only glad to find new sources of inspiration for stuff to share with you! This has been called for for quite a long time now: I've had some of you on Google+ suggesting I should listen to Foster the People, I've had some colleagues who asked me to put them in the office playlist and... here we are in the end! As promised, I started listening to them and, as expected, I already like them! Just enjoy their biggest hit for now and wait for more of their stuff to be featured here soon!
