Stay - Anastacia

SPOILER: This is not an April's fool! Or maybe it is! Haha! Up to you!!

Stay - Anastacia
You might remember that yesterday I mentioned a song I woke up with in my head, and that's the one. You might also remember that I've been looking for it in my last year's playlist and found other stuff. Well, that makes quite a lot of sense because I never put this song in any playlist! A-ha! That's a self-April's fool that I made myself, methinks! Anyway, I really have absolutely no idea why this song came back to me now, I also have no idea why I was dreaming about me and my younger cousin I haven't been seeing for years while I was kinda teaching her how to drive in my (other side of the family) grandparents' garage. Weird things happen. One is that I'm writing this post in advance and it's not even April yet! The other one is that a good and very fitting song for this post came to my mind while I was writing, but I think I'm gonna keep for next year! This song was a great moment in both Anastacia concerts I went to in the last few months anyway! Great memories! Well, what can I tell you now?
"I need somebody to tell me I'm too hard to break. So I'm gonna stay. I'm not ready to go just yet." (Or am I?)

#sundayrevival Made for lovin' you - Anastacia

Made for lovin' you - Anastacia
Today is sunday and that means it's time for... sundayrevival!! I've had this song on my mind since yesterday and given that's it's quite old and it's on one of the first CDs I ever got (the then-so-fashionable compilations of early 00s), it really is a perfect song for this kind of posts! I have no idea why it came back to me now, I only know that it did. I have been singing it in my head and mumbling it while driving around northern Veneto with my parents this weekend, which has made a pretty nice trip for the weekend! The weekend itself seems to have lasted quite long, and that positive, so I hope I'll kick off the week of works with the right foot! Have a good nite and a great start of the new week!

Evolution - Anastacia

Evolution - Anastacia
You might have noticed that I recently have been to a couple Anastacia gigs (well, it was one, but then it was postponed even if she kind-of performed but had almost no voice left due to a cold), and this is probably the one song out of her latest album, Resurrection, that I enjoyed the most, especially the first time. Besides me liking the concept of evolution and the song itself before, the liking got to a whole new level when she made us perform the "back-up vocals" in the live concert, divided into two groups (one singing "evolution, evolution" and the other "no one stays the same, everyone must change", if you listen to the song you'll understand)! I really enjoyed that part, and since then, especially since the latest concert, the song kind of lingered in my mind and today it came back out strongly, so it seemed legit to post it! Hope you enjoy it!

Paid my dues - Anastacia

Paid my dues - Anastacia
Here I am, just back from my Anastacia concert in Milan (take 2). Some of you might recall that she had no voice during her performance in November and to compensate her deficiency, she performed another show for free for all of us who had come to the previous gig! This time she rocked the house with her super powerful voice at its best, but I must confess I liked a couple of songs better the other time, even with her difficulties...! This is not one of them, and I'm very glad that she actually paid her dues to us all, she did it beautifully! And now, ready to board on a couple of planes tomorrow, I'll give you more news when I get there!

Staring at the sun - Anastacia

Will I ever post this? I've been wondering that for a long time until... now (well, a few minutes ago) I found out that the video for this song HAD been actually released! I've been waiting for it for the longest time!! I can't believe that us fans didn't get no notification of the release of the video, which in fact has very few views on YouTube too... Ok, I must admit it, the video itself ain't great, but at least it would've been nice to know it was out there... anyway, after months (and I'm not joking, it's really been since that time last summer when I told you that I had many songs ready for posting) of having this one as draft, it is finally ready to go out! Well, it won't mind waiting a few hours more, as I have just published the last post about Sheppard, so this will see the light a short while after the time of writing, hope you enjoy the song, it's quite great, video... well, it's meh, but let's say it can be liked.

Well, a little more time has past, as I also posted the Adam Lambert song this (yesterday, actually) afternoon. But FINALLY the time has come for Anastacia!! Let's go!!

I'm outta love - Anastacia

I'm outta love - Anastacia
What a monday, what a monday!!! What a crazy, excruciating, exhausting, unforgettable monday! You guys might not know that I had Anastacia's concert tonight, as I forgot to mention it due to the overwhelming greatness of 90s music I have been posting but well... I meant to post one last great 90s song to end the week, as I started on tuesday I realised, but tonight this is more compelling, so maybe I will do the last 90s piece tomorrow. Tonight it's about one of the most wearying concerts I ever had, probably the most demanding in terms of energies. Of course the first flu of the season struck before November, more precisely yesterday, and the friend who came with me to the concert was eager to get in front, so we went there early, then I went back and forth a couple time to get my sandwich ready and rest a while at home, just to get there definitively, endured through the wait and the opening band, and then she comes and... BANG. She had a cold too! Come on, just how freaky is that? I am in synchro with Anastacia! And we both wished we got a cold in a different moment. Well, I can't say I fully enjoyed the concert, as she let us sing a lot and she couldn't reach medium-to-high notes, so she practically didn't sing any refrain and stuff. That part, it was the main part, the main dish, the thing we all wanted to experience and it has been disappointing not to have it, also given the amount we paid for the ticket. Yet it has not been a bad experience, rather... I really enjoyed her most famous hits (and also the new songs) as her die-hard fans and us (a little less die-hard, but still fans) supplied our astounding singing skills to cover up for her lack of voice! I must say it's been emotional, also to see her almost cry when we were singing her songs by heart, it's been nice. I really hope I'll get the chance to enjoy her at her best (and also at my best, goddamn flu!), but my friend and me couldn't do without rocking it also in the car with our favourites, among which this is the one favourite of mine!!!

Other side of crazy - Anastacia

Other side of crazy - Anastacia
I have compiled my second July playlist and it ended up being almost as huge as the previous one, but there are a few new entries thanks goodness! One of these new entries is Anastacia, whose latest album (Resurrection) I started exploring just in the last few days. This is the one song that I'm favouring for the time being, a catchy and up-tempo kind of ballad that suits well the super hot weather that has been spreading in here in the last few days (and I'm so happy about it)! Happy friday night!

#sundayrevival Season change - Anastacia

Season change - Anastacia
I've been waiting for the right moment to post this one for more than a week now, actually since my last Anastacia post. This is a real revival, as I've been listening to (and loving) this song for more than 10 years (the album has actually just celebrated its 10th birthday yesterday!). Anastacia has been one of the first albums I've ever bought and one of the few I have really worn out in my teenage years. Season change is probably the song I still love the most, but a great part of this album is like tattooed at the basis of my music tastes. It just seems fair to give it a tribute in this sunny and warm day of spring, exactly now when Anastacia has fought against and won against breast cancer again, like she did at the time this album came out! This is to spring and to being strong! Happy sunday!

Stupid little things - Anastacia

Another new song released today! Anastacia just posted the video of her new single in anticipation of
Stupid little things -
Anastacia
her new album that is coming out next May. The new song, Stupid little things, is not so far from her previous works and has a quite danceable beat. The new album is purposefully called Resurrection and it will be released this year after the American singer beat breast cancer for the second time last year. I have always liked Anastacia, since her debut with I'm outta love, then I bought her self-titled album in 2004 and it's been one of the few albums I have really consumed during my teenage years! I was thinking about posting another song of her, but it occured to me that I haven't posted much recent stuff lately, so why not taking the chance and posting her new song? I've already talked about it and presented it, so I don't see any reason why not! I'll keep my favourites for the next time!
