Yesterday I listened to San Cisco's music while taking a bath and my mind focused on their song 'Snow', off their latest album, which I quite like but had practically forgotten about. You might imagine my surprise when this morning I woke up to a world totally covered in white!! Just yesterday I took a picture of peach blossoms, claiming that spring was finally coming and now... this! I just realised that 'Snow' is the last song by San Cisco that I posted on the blog (more than 10 months ago), but I decided to anyway change my plan and choose another song of theirs to put here today, as it wouldn't have made sense to write this post about another song! What I chose is another good one off 'Gracetown', their sophomore and currently latest album, which is ok but in a totally different league than their genius, eponymous debut!! Wow, so many new great tunes to post, I've been falling behind for a while now and seeing that I haven't posted many songs like this one yet really gives me the fire under my feet!! I created a new playlist I'm totally in love with (featuring other great songs from San Cisco's new album, amongst others), I pre-ordered Florence's coming album (together with a couple other CDs) on Amazon, can't wait for the AutoRip, I already told you about the Imagine Dragons' concert I might be going to... well, there are many news and I have to keep up! Guys, I'm so excited about these couple of days I have been spending in Bangkok!! Ok, the city has its limits: it's crowded, very crowded; it's hot, sometimes painfully so (but it's hot, thanks goodness!!); without speaking the language it's not at all easy to get around, especially if you take just one step out of the tourist comfort zone... well, but that's where the fun begins! Tonite I was in a mall and had a very very Asian dinner, with gyoza, aloe juice, bubble tea and mochi! A mix of Asian food cultures, interacting with people who spoke zero English, it's been a bit cumbersome but after I succeeded there was a big smile on my face!! I have the feeling spending time in this city is going to be (painfully) amazing!! This is real life!!!

I've been exposed to a lot of new music in the last few years and I must admit that San Cisco are one of my favourite bands belonging to this category, I really connected with their music and I enjoy it quite a lot! After discovering them thanks to a 'Get lucky' cover posted on Fb by the olympic diver Matthew Mitcham (thanks Matthew!) I got interested in their music and I loved their EP and debut album!! Now they're on the verge of releasing their sophomore and a couple songs have already been out for a while. This is the brand new video for this 'Too much time together' that I just got to hear/watch and that I do love already!! Can't wait for the whole album!!

Here we are, the craziness is slowly settling and this are going back to normal, yeah normal, because as of now I am not feeling any different, even if I'm not a student anymore! Well, it really is true that labels are just labels, what matters is what's inside. Anyway, being back to 'normality' I am finally finding the time to post the last song I wanted to share with you out of my older playlist. San Cisco are back, this is the first single out of their coming album, which I guess will be released at the beginning of next year, if I remember correctly. I must admit that at first I didn't really like the song, and actually it never occurred to me that I started liking it, but I did. Notwithstanding this mysterious process, what matters is the outcome, so here is their new song, hoping for a great sophomore album!! Enjoy the 80s-like visual effects in the meanwhile!

Hello guys, hope you are all well (better than me at least)! My health conditions are still not so great, I really hate having the flu, it debilitates me and leaves me weak, dull and weary. I hope the nice, warm sun will speed up the recovery process, as I've had enough already! Today I drove back home and had a nice aperitivo with some friends, so the day was not a bad one all in all. I was then speaking with one of my friends about working in Italy and the possibility/willingness to go abroad and try building a life somewhere else. We say that all the time but then it's easier said than done! Well... never lose hope anyway! Now that our working life has just begun or is about to begin, I think it's the best time to consider stuff like that! The same happens to the guy in the song I'm posting today. His father wants him to go work in the factory, but he wants to see the world. Well... I hope we'll all get our chance to go around and explore!

yesterday (actually I am writing 'yesterday'), but I wanted to give it the space, attention and commentary it deserves, being one of my last year's favourites. About San Cisco, I hope you know them (if you don't, run to listen their album on Spotify NOW!), as I have been trying to push them since the beginning of this blog. I have been gladly noticing they got a little bit of fame here in Europe and I really can't say how happy I am about that and how much I hope they'll increase their audience in the future. I think that their music is very meaningful and catchy in its simplicity, and this song is a perfect summary of that. I really DO love the lyrics, the music is good and the combination of all elements works perfectly. I don't know what else to say to convince you, if I still didn't already, so just go and try them out, you'll not repent it!

Of course I didn't double post yesterday, I kinda knew it, but the good news is that I already have the song for today! And, being even more in the weekend, it works perfectly! Saturday night, party time again and this time it's partying up all night, with my wish for all of you to get lucky!
This is how I got to know San Cisco: Matthew Mitcham (the Australian diver) posted on Facebook this cover they made of Daft Punk's success Get Lucky and I was kind of (a lot) into the song at the time. I immediately clicked on this and voilà, the magic world of San Cisco opened up to me! My love for them has only risen since then, I bought their CD on Amazon a few weeks ago but I've been listening to them since last summer, they are awesome and if you still didn't get to love them, listen to this and follow my path! Hey guys! Last post of the year! This is one of my favourite songs out of (one of) my favourite new band of 2013, San Cisco, so it still makes perfect sense with the 2013 best project! Well, I still have another 2013-best song to tell you about, but I will do it tomorrow, as it also has a pretty entertaining story behind it! Missed a day again, in my defense I can say that I've been pretty busy AND that I already had the song!! It is on my final playlist of the year + last night they played it on the Deejay TV that was going on while I was eating out, sooo no doubt about it! Hey guys, how are you doin'? I really can't make peace with the fact that it's autumn, I really hate these days when everything's gray and gloomy and wet and... bwaaah! So bad. I want the sunlight! I want hot weather! I want summer! But I have to be strong, I know. So, my solution is choosing some good tunes that can cheer me up. In this particular case, I pick San Cisco. They are an indie-pop band from Australia, I got to know their music just recently thanks to a cover of Daft Punk's Get Lucky (check it out, it's cool!) and I almost immediately fell in love with their eponymous album. This is Beach, the first song out of it. They are currently on tour in Europe, so spread the word!
