Nothing particularly relevant is going on with my life these days, I have resumed playing Mario Kart 64 and I am trying to improve my records on some tracks, I am going to visit one of my long time friends in Lecco where she's been studying for her degree and where I promised I would go visit like 5 years ago, I have just finished watching a crazy Japanese superhero movie, quite entertaining and peculiar and very... well, peculiar (it's called Hentai Kamen, don't try looking for it if you are oversensitive!), plus taking care of daily routines. Sharing this Adam Lambert song with you, I am finally getting rid of all the draft posts that have been hanging over me lately, so I am finally free to find some new music to share with you!
Hey guys, I still haven't managed to get my fully working routine back, but I'm trying! Today I went back to the swimming pool after more than one month since the last time and, even if at first my arms were aching like hell, I was able to get back to my usual rhythm after a few laps and it did feel good. Also waking up at midday is kind of part of my usual routine, and given that I still haven't totally recovered from jet lag yet, I really needed to sleep a good while. Adam's friend would need some sleep too to be less evil in the night!
I keep being accused by friends and parents that I am always travelling around the world and... well, I can't say they are wrong. Probably I don't travel as much as I would like or could, we all know that seeing people on Facebook makes it look like everybody is always going around and doing cool things and this enhances my willingness to do the same, but all in all I can't complain, as especially in the last couple of years I've had my fair share of miles travelled, for one reason or another. Not being able to always find any friends to keep my pace, I also resorted to travelling alone, a thing I did last December for the first time since I was studying in Canada in 2012, and I will do it again. Tomorrow I am leaving again, this time for a trip that has been in my heart and brain for years, so I am really excited!! Maybe I won't get the time to post daily on the blog, but I'll do my best to keep you updated!
My dear readers, I am writing this post from my hotel room in Portimao, as today we have finally reached Algarve, one of the dream destinations on my to-go-to list! We just got here for sunset and as soon as I put my baggage in the room, I rushed out to the beach to take pictures of the sunset light... how beautiful! Can't wait to get more beautiful pics, hopefully featuring the sun (which is expected to be shy in the next days, let's hope we'll get some blue skies...) this time around! Hey guys, tonight's been a movie night for me, actually TV series + movie! Between yesterday and today I breezed through the first seasons of MTV's highly anticipated 'The Shannara chronicles'. Being a long-time fan of the Shannara book series by Terry Brooks, I was very much curious about this TV transposition. Being the books very dense and very captivating and being MTV's series targeted mainly to teenagers, what I got was not very different from what I expected: teenage drama, polygamy, special effects and so on. All in all the result is not bad, but I can really say it is on a different level than the books. After finishing that, I moved to the final chapter of 'The Hunger Games', the second part of 'The Mockingjay'. Having read the books a couple years ago, I knew what to expect from the plot and I must say that this second part of the series last book is better than the first, densely packed with action and, for what I remember, quite truthful to the book. The ending is well crafted and left me with a positive impression of the whole movie series. But it's not only videos... don't worry, this is still a music blog and today I'm giving you the title-track of Adam Lambert's latest album, hoping you can enjoy it!
I am very much ashamed with myself, I've been having some totally empty days, striving to fill the up somehow and yesterday I didn't even write the blog, nor did I study Japanese... apathy is dangerous, boredom is a vicious drug, that makes you feel bad and takes away from you the energy you could use in doing things, even the little things that would help you give some purpose to your life! This week has gone through like that, but starting next week I will try hard to turn the page and inject back some purpose in my life! In the meanwhile, let's get to Adam's third and currently latest album. The first I listened to 'Ghost town' when it came out, I was amazed by how cool the verse was, and then the chorus started with its disco/electro beat and it really did devalue the song in my opinion... I still believe that, but I kind of got used to it by now. Will post more Adam in the next future, as I am liking 'The original high' quite a bit anyway!!
Another work week is coming to an end, nowadays it's the only thing that pushes me to go on... I can't wait to be home after the long drive and just relax. I need to put a stop to the life I'm leaving as it's not good for me, like Adam's chains are not good for him. The difference is that he "kinda likes the pain" and is feeling good; I am not. I need to start running away and to stop running around.
I am feeling weird today, my head is spinning somehow and it's like I feel an emptiness inside it, I hope it's gonna go away, I hope I just need to get some rest. Because I really do. Before I choke.
Hey there folks! It's being a tough but somewhat rewarding week here in Bangkok, as little sleep as I ever got in my life methinks, but I still didn't fall asleep in the office, which is good! I'm trying to enjoy my time here too and it's going quite well, now I need to get back into my routine a little though, take care of my daily tasks, blog included. Tomorrow is the last working day and we organized / are organizing a trip for the weekend, will update you soon about that! I have been listening to some of the albums in my 'Pick and catch' playlist today while driving to work (long drive, with more traffic than usual, took me about 4 hours to get here...) and then while driving to the medical center to get a test done during lunch break. This playlist is the one I use to collect all the new albums I am currently getting to know and I keep it updated, usually taking them out after 10 listens. The last one I've listened to today was the first one on the list, one I already know pretty well, and that is Adam Lambert's sophomore 'Trespassing'. I was deciding which songs to put in my new playlist among the ones that I haven't put already in the previous ones, and the choice is proving to be quite hard, as I kinda can sing most of them with pleasure already!! For this time so I will just post the last good one out of my current playlist, but expect more to come in the near future!
The B&B I am staying in this week is the underground floor of a not-so-new house in the middle of nowhere between a field and a deserted road, not far from where I work. It's nice because there's no one else around and I have the whole floor for myself, but it also gets scary from time to time, the whole background is slightly creepy. Anyway, here I am after a nice weekend in Florence, I didn't tell you much in this morning's post, but I'm not gonna tell you much now either: the trip was good, I'm happy I've been there, it was worth it even if I have not been stunned by the city, probably my expectations were too high..! One thing I really do love, though, is the tuscan accent... god, I wanted to kiss people in the streets because of the way they talked! So, so awesome, by far my favourite Italian accent/dialect! Now I'll put some Adam Lambert on to cheer up the creepy atmosphere I'm surrounded by! Have a good night (or day, or whatever)!
What better song to share after a journey like this?! Let me tell you the story of my drive back home tonite after work, I haven't been laughing so hard for ages! I was travelling back home, one day in advance with respect to the usual schedule because I have some medical exams here tomorrow (of course), and as usual I uploaded my travel on Blablacar, the platform that allows you to share your car trips with other people. Today I had 2 girls contacting me, a single one and another one travelling with a friend; this latter one had kind of a "bitchy" picture, with a duck face and everything, but so many girls have it nowadays..! Well, when I get to the station, out meeting point, here I see those two girls, dressed up like hookers, belly out, piercings, platinum hair, cigarette, hard make-up... I say to myself "ooook!" and get them on, together with the other girl. When I asked them what they do for a living, they asked "hostess at events, modelling..." and then start talking on the phone with people, saying one of them tomorrow is at dinner with the surgeon and the other with someone else, and then one says that man are all the same, they are bad people but oh, how she loves c*ck! And then they wanted me to leave them at the highway barrier, even asked if they could walk through it on feet! I took them to the parking lot right after, and I'm still not sure about the guy that was supposed to come pick them up, if he was the "Moroccan", the "one who made their hair" or who else!
So much fun guys, so much fun! After we let them off, me and the other girl were laughing so hard! Guess they really are outlaws of love, and I am too, but in a totally different sense I'd say! Outlaws of love, outlaws of life!
Hey guys, here I am again! I spent my whole Sunday on planes travelling from home (Italy) to home (Bangkok) [this time of my life feels so confusing, I don't have a home anymore... and I have many!] and then yesterday I've been busy all day... relaxing! I still haven't got my hours of lost sleep back, so I'm not 100% clear headed and smart, but I'll keep going..! I think this time I just have to go with the flow and not even try to adjust, as in three nights I'm gonna be on a plane again. I want to share with you some music that I've been listening to while flying, hoping it will make you fly again! Adam Lambert: it gives you wings!
I know, I know I am one album behind (I've listened to 'Ghost town' when it came out, not to the new album in its entirety as I still had to approach 'Trespassing'), but I'm getting there! I started listening to Adam's second album recently and the first impression is not bad at all! I'm sure all the Glamberts out there will appreciate this post, so be waiting for more to come in the near future!!
After assimilating Adam's first album entirely, it's time to move on to new music, but not before a couple more posts. It is quite a weird moment for me musically: the pain in my mouth doesn't make me willing to waste time in front of the computer, so I've not really been listening to many tunes this past week, plus I have been mainly focusing on my existing playlists and on old (for my taste) albums, not going to explore new stuff. As a consequence I am pretty much stuck, and things are not expected to move soon: between my slightly increasing pain and the coming OneRepublic concert, it's not likely that the music I have on my queue will appear here soon, but bear with me through this difficult moment and we'll shine with new light soon! In the meantime enjoy Adam and this saturday night of yours, which most likely is gonna turn out better than mine!

Not what I meant to post this afternoon (this time it's even more true as I already had another post ready, one which I've been putting on hold for months and now keeps on waiting, but its time is gonna come soon...!). Getting to something more recent (in terms of my playlist, but also in terms of release time) for today's post! I have got to know Adam Lambert... well, I don't exactly remember how! What I do remember is that I have been listening to the compilation of the covers he recorded while participating in American Idol and I really liked them, so I decided to listen to his debut album too and well... quite a lot of time has past, but I am enjoying it pretty much I must say, more than I expected maybe! It's a very enjoyable pop, not as dancey or trashy as I expected, so kudos to Adam, who is now touring with Queen, quite remarkable, not an easy task to take Freddie's place! This Sure fire winners is one of the songs I fell for first and is the opener of my current playlist, I'm sure you will all enjoy it very much!
